Born in 1966 in Bresse, Saône et Loire, France; Jeff grew up in this bucolic countryside, a little removed from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, where life is good. An industrial bodybuilder for 40 years, he began artistic welding in his spare time in 1996. He shapes, welds, strips and varnishes the works of his imagination, for his own pleasure and that of his friends and family (candlesticks, horseshoe Christmas trees, industrial furniture, figurines made from farrier’s nails and bolts… ).

During the covid, having a woman’s bust at home, he embarked on the adventure of sublimating women’s bodies with the materials at his disposal: nuts, stainless steel nuts, washers, stainless steel sheet metal…

Upon meeting members of the Demeritte’s gallery, the team immediately saw the artist’s potential and began an artistic partnership. A tireless worker and perfectionist, Jeff finds it difficult to decide to exhibit his work, always striving to sublimate it further in his quest for perfection.

Creative process :
Jeff’s technique was born out of his years working in industrial bodywork. In his workshop, surrounded by meadows and horses, Jeff imagines and implements his artistic ideas using galvanized nuts, stainless steel plates and rounds, and various washers…

He takes particular care with the mig (metal inert gas) welds, which he executes piece by piece. Like a jigsaw puzzle, the work comes into being under his exacting, precise eye, so as to leave it in its rawest possible state, without the need to hide imperfections wherever possible.
