Luis Ponce is a Mexican visual artist based in Montreal. Luis Ponce’s work is an existentialist exploration through playful and bizarre imagery, he explores the unsettling aspect of our everyday reality, and identity in the post-human condition. His works have been shown in exhibitions throughout the world such as at Decentral Art Pavilion in Venice, NFT NYC and NFT Rio 2022 as part of the Medici Collection, NFT Show Europe, Disrupted at W1 Curates in London, Vellum LA, NonNFT Summit in Mexico City and Grails: Season II by PROOF collective as well as auctioned in Christie’s and Sotheby’s.

Ponce’s work creates dynamic, multi-layered compositions that experiment with several techniques, from digital painting, frame-by-frame animation, 3d modeling, geometric patterns, and abstract animations generated with data flow environments or rule-based system nodes, his aesthetics include neo-expressionism, surrealism, opt art, post-internet, post-digital pop, glitch, and noise.
